Your first session
Get there ten minutes early, find Jordan and join the group. Nobody makes you give a speech. Sessions mix fitness, skills and game play, and coaches show new players how to pass, catch and tackle safely.
Bring boots if you have them, trainers if you don't, plus water and a mouthguard. No mouthguard yet? The club will sort you out.
Who plays
Anyone 18 or over. The squad mixes men in their first season with players who have been at it for years, and every fitness level in between. There's no tryout and nobody gets cut. Ask new players whether they had played before and most say never, which is how most of the club started.
When you're ready for matches, you register with USA Rugby under the club's name, and someone at the club will walk you through it.
After practice
After Thursday training and home matches, the club heads to Baja Sharkeez at 416 State St, a Grunion sponsor and the home of the third half. New players are welcome to come along.
